Malika Party Lashes £8 - £13

Malika have brought out a range of party lashes just in time for the Christmas season.

"We searched the world to really find the best possible quality and these soft, 100% human hair eye fans are easy to apply, super comfortable to wear and amazingly durable! If you treat them right they will become your favourite party accessory, as you joyfully wear the same pair over and over again," says Founder Ritu Patel.

My favourites are Sophia (pictured above) and Helena (pictured below). The Sophia lashes are full to the max and completely show stopping. Wear to your office Christmas party to make sure all the attention is on you. The Helena are a more subtle lash but they have a great glittery band along the top which will add an edge to a little black dress.

Lush Lust £4.50

I have a few vegan friends and when trying to find them presents the first place I head to is Lush obviously. I wanted to get them just something small but also useful. I can across the perfume sticks in store and my favourite has to be Lust. Its made with jasmine, vanilla, ylang ylang, rose and sandalwood. You would think it might smell sickly sweet but it has a lovely warm aroma that lasts for hours. The handy little stick makes it great for keeping it in your bag or for travelling. There have been one or two reviews on the Lush site noting that as the stick is red it can stain your skin. I didn't find this a problem at all and thought it scented my skin really well, all I needed was small dad behind my ears and on my wrists and voila I was superbly lustily smelling. Great stocking filler or as a small gift to let a friend know you care.

Benefit Primpcess Set £25

Men its not very long till the lady in your life is going to except a nicely wrapped present under the tree. If you are anything like my male companion you will not have given that much thought into what you are going to buy. I know you probably love her dearly and desperately want to give her something nice but its just that all the beauty bits and pieces slightly confuse you and the pretty girls behind the make up counter distract you sometimes. Well as I am in such a nice mood I am going to give you a few hints and tips in the present buying department to show the woman in your life just how much you love her.

It works really well as a gift because there is so much included for us ladies to play with. It's all about the sex appeal for me at the moment and although I know there is a difference between beauty and sexy, at times they do collide and right now I am feeling both in abundance.  So to go with my new found inner appeal I have the perfect scent to symbolise how I am feeling.

The Stick on Bra - the best backless and strapless bra

I wasn't blessed in the shirt filling department so have always stayed clear of strapless tops and skimpy dresses, preferring to wear a bra with a little help. For years I have wished I was able to wear tops with tiny straps or backless dresses and have looked on with envy at my friends who can wear anything and not need a bra. Bare shoulders are unbelievably sexy on a girl and I would love to be able to go out for a night in a strapless dress and show off my decollage to its full potential.

I am a romantic at heart and anything enchanting and magical gets me excited. I am not one for overly powerful smells but this has the perfect mix of sweetness and fruits. With jasmine, calabrain lemon, caipirinha lime, cotton musk and amber it is playful and mysterious. Light enough to be worn at anytime of day whilst still attracting all the right attention.


Nina L’Elixir is a love potion for modern women who knows how to play on their natural charm and have fun with it. The bottle is unbelievably cute and always makes me smile when I apply some, while the aroma rifts me off to magical make-believe world of forests, princes and fairies.

Lush Mrs Whippy £2.50

Lush have an incredible range of bath time goodies and their bath ballistic are by far the most notorious. They fizzy away in the bath changing the colour, causing bubbles, releasing gorgeous scent and providing a bit of excitement to bath time. One of my favourite has to be Mrs Whippy, containing soya milk making the water soft and my skin silky. I always feel like a princess relaxing in a bath with one of these fizzing around.

Bath ballistics make a great gift idea when you don't want to spend much on people, I have so many cousins running around I can't afford to buy them all an expensive gift so each year get them a bath ballistic each. Also make great stocking fillers!

Soap & Glory Hand Break £8

It's coming up to that time of year when you get forced to join in with works secret santa and have to get a present for someone you don't necessarily like. I obviously got the person I disliked the most in the entire place, brilliant. Still I am going to be gracious about it and give them a gift that I think is lovely and doesn't represent my distain. Soap and Glory have this great hand wash and hand lotion set that looks ridiculously cute and smells divine. Fresh, floral and flirty smelling it is bound to get a smile of approval from the recipient. I of course am going to make sure I get in a 3 for 2 deal so technically I am not actually getting the person anything, ok so maybe not that gracious but at least I am getting them a nice gift!

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Moisturising Lip Care £1.25

I have somehow got quite dehydrated over the last few weeks, a combination of not being well and not looking after myself properly. It has affect my lips the most and my top lip is the worst being quite sore and cracked. It's the first time I have tried Palmer's lip balm and I am really happy with how it has softened my lips. It has a simple smell, not chemically but best of all it saturates my lips in moisture with a soft protective coat over the top. Definitely a hand bag staple from now on.

Ice Watch

The Saturdays choose to wear these watches in their video for 'Missing You', needless to say since then they have been flying off the shelves. They make the perfect gift idea for a younger brother or sister and with such a wide variety of colours and styles you are bound to find one to suit even the most fussy teenager.

Girls Aloud have teamed up with the fabulous Eylure to create a range of dazzling party lashes to bring a touch of super star to any outfit. I have only recently got into false lashes and I was surprised at how easy  they were to apply after a bit of practice. Below I will run through a few quick step to getting false lashes looking great but first a little about the girls selection.

I got given this as a present last year and it was one of my favourites, not only is it from the amazing people at Benefit but it also made my eyes look fabulous. The handy kits contains everything you need to define your eyes and has step by step instructions to help you make the most out of your eyes. I am hoping that someone gets it again for me this year as I have used it practically everyday and used it completely up. Suits every eye colour and can be used for the day and the evening, I carried mine in my handbag and was just perfect for touch-ups before going out for the evening . Payot Purement Nettoyant - Detoxifying Foam £25

The Les Purifiantes range has been created to give clear skin and a healthy complexion with extracts of Green Coffee which detoxify and regenerate the skin. Regular readers will know I am a big fan of coffee, not only as a morning tipple but also as a beauty product. 


The foam has a lovely light texture and smells delicately fresh. After using it every day for only a week my skin looked bright and clear and was a lovely way to wake up in the morning, what with the horrible weather we are experiencing where I am I need all the help I can get!
