Well they do call them the window to the soul.

5 in 1 Restore Cream £26

If ever people ask me what the one simple thing is that that can do to look better day to day I always say its use a good night cream. If you can only be bothered to use one product, then a night cream is the best place to start. As you are resting over night it can deeply penetrate your skin and work wonders so in the morning you feel refreshed.

First Aid Beauty has a real treat for night time skin in the shape of  the 5 in 1 restore cream. The luxuriously thick cream melts into your skin and you can almost feel it doing its magic. Detox Eye Roller £18

I have never been a very good sleeper and at the moment I am going through a particularly bad patch of not being able to drift off. The most prominent physical aspect of these is big black bags under my eyes. Thank heavens then that First Aid Beauty has come to the rescue with their detox eye roller. Jammed packed with ingredients to stop me looking tried, caffeine helps to diminish skin redness, advanced peptides recapture lost volume reducing fine lines while witch hazel and menthyl tones and soothes skin.

All very good you say but does it actually work? I must have put it through its hardest challenge yet. After a week of hardly any sleep I was looking frightening. Whats more I had a night of partying for a friends birthday and I knew people were going to be taking photos. The eye roller came just in time and after only a few minutes the bags under my eyes shrunk. I was able to go out feeling much more confident about how I looked and actually allowed people to take my photo rather than being terrified by what I looked like. What's more people weren't commenting on how tired I looked but how great I looked.

5 in 1 Face Cream £28

A new range of beauty products has just been released in the UK after getting rave reviews in the USA. I have been lucky enough to try a couple of the products and in the next four days I am gonna run you through my favourites of the FABulous First Aid Beauty.

First up is the face cream with SPF 30. It is really easy to forget that we should always use sunscreen on our face even when it is cloudy, as it stops wrinkles and premature ageing.  This cream does the job of five products by reducing the appearance of wrinkles, corrects uneven skin tone, filters UVA / UVB rays, nourishes and moisturises, lastly it combats free radicals. I mean what more could you ask for?

It absorbs easily making it perfect for using first thing in the morning or under makeup. It leaves you skin feeling delicately soft without a hint a tightness. A huge thumbs up from me!

Ahava Smoothing Moisturiser £29.00

Ahava’s Special Edition Source Smoothing Moisturiser, for normal to dry skin, is a brand new addition to the company’s range of facial moisturisers, which draw on the beautifying and therapeutic properties of Dead Sea minerals.

This rich, pampering cream is readily-absorbed by facial skin, penetrating deep to the basal layer to gently and effectively provide long-lasting hydration, restore the skin’s natural moisture balance, and literally feed it with skin-enhancing essential nutrients that help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

It feels thick and creamy, has a wonderfully fresh scent and when applied doesn't make your skin feel taught like some moisturisers can. My face felt instantly hydrated and even after a whole day in an air conditioned office my skin still felt soft and well moisturised.

Blend the silver, blue, navy and black colours that can be applied wet or dry for a traffic-stopping gaze. The lovely people even include a postcard showing you exactly how to apply each colour.

I am having a date night soon as wanted to practice a sexy smoky look beforehand to make sure I got it right on the night. I found the colours really easy to blend and was able to build up colour to create a really intense stare. The powder was soft and rich and delicately swept onto my lids .The powder didn't crease or flake over my cheeks and even at the end of the night it looked like I had only just applied my eyeshadow. With shadows this easy to use and so good it lasts all night I will be trying this look again and again. The four colours are beautiful together and also stunning enough to be used on their own, really its four eyeshadows for the price of one, magic.

Queens Cosmetics Non-Alcoholic Toning Lotion £14.95

It's been a rather harsh winter and we aren't out of the woods yet. Although summer has many amazing qualities, lazy days in the park, bbq's and ice  creams, there are one or two minor irritating parts we have to put up with. One of those is that the hot weather makes us sweat more and makes skin greaser. This means make up runs quickly and pores clog causing spots. The best way to remove all the grease and oil from your skin is by adding a good toner to your skin care regime.

Queens non-alcoholic toning lotion is perfect for normal to dry skin types and those who suffer with acne or rosacea. It has a lovely fresh scent and if you lightly sweep it over your face it will refresh and revive your skin. If you want to be looking your best this summer start using this fabulous toner now, you will be thanking very soon.

Blinc Mascara £18.50

Yesterday I gave you everyday mascara, today I am talking about a mascara suitable for evenings out and special occasions.

I can't stress enough how revolutionary Blinc mascara is, it has a unique formula that forms tiny tubes around your lashes rather than painting them like conventional mascara's. This means that the mascara won't flake, smudge, run or clump. It has been independently tested and is suitable for those with sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. It's available in six colours so want ever your preference you will find a colour you like. You don't even have to use make up remover to take it off, just warm water and a cotton wool pad. I put the Blinc mascara through its paces with four test to test it to its limits!

1) First up how easy is it to apply and how does it look? Well its very easy to apply, just sweep it on, wait for 2 minutes and then apply another coat. It was thickening and lengthening and I found two coats was perfect for me to frame my eyes and give me some lash appeal!

2) The crying test. I always cry when I go to the cinema, it doesn't matter what I see I always feel compelled to have a bit of a weep at the end. To really see how well it coped I went with a girlfriend to see the latest chic flick knowing that there would be ample opportunity to for a good cry. I was right and after 30 minutes we were both balling like babies all the way to the end. When the film finished we both went to the loo to inspect the damage. While her mascara had gone all clumpy and run down here cheeks mine looked perfect still.

3) Rubbing your eyes. There is nothing like a smokey atmosphere and being bored and tired to make you reach up and start rubbing your eyes. Knowing this I went along to some friends house where they were playing poker, drinking and smoking. Within the hour I was bored, tired and my eyes were red from all the smoke. In the interest of fairness though I stayed for another couple of hours, rubbing my eyes to see if the mascara would shift. After all my efforts not even a tiny flake of mascara had come off.

4) Taking off. I was a little worried by now that the mascara was never going to come off. With just a little help from some hot water and a flannel the tubes effortlessly slid off my lashes.

Result: A super hardworking mascara that will not only make your lashes look good, will stay put no matter where your night goes.

Miners Voluptulash £3.99

In a recent survey it was found that the beauty product most women couldn't live without was mascara. Its no surprise when you think a simple coat of a good mascara can turn tired eyes into transfixing eyes.

Finding a good everyday mascara can be hard but I have done a lot of testing and found the best mascara that won't break the bank. Tomorrow I will look at an amazing evening mascara but for now over to the fabulous Miners brand.

Voluptulash is available in black and brown and has a unique hourglass shaped brush making application easy, especially if you are like me and always in a rush in the mornings! It has a smudge proof formula and at the price you can afford to keep one in your bag for touch ups during the day.

Ahava Dead Sea Salt Liquid £12

As you well know I am a bath lover and as such always on the look out for products to include in my daily soak.

Ahava first won me over with their range of delicious botanical body creams and now they have dazzled me with a completely unique product.

Their Dead Sea Salt Liquid provides an intense concentration of Dead Sea minerals to naturally reset the skin’s inner balance. It regenerates the skin by detoxifying its cells, strengthens its defence system and improves its metabolism. Rub all over body and rinse off after two minutes or drizzle into the bath to feel like you are bathing in the magical waters of the Dead Sea.

It really made my skin feel more magical and healthier. You might think that with all the salt it would dry your skin out but it actually helped mine to soak in moisturiser.

MÁDARA Deep Replenishing Cream £25

You may notice a slight theme in my recent post and thats dehydration, either from the tough winter climate or of the self inflicted variety!

In winter, our skin is more prone to dehydration and the MÁDARA Deep Replenishing Cream helps to improve the skin’s ability to retain water, making the skin look younger and more radiant. This rich cream provides long lasting hydration and nourishment, while protecting and repairing damaged skin. Key ingredients include nettle, linseed, calendula, rowan and sea bucktorn.

Like all the MÁDARA products that I have tried it smells sensational. All products are natural and organic and this cream is no exception. It glides onto the skin as gracefully as a swan to water. It gently soaks in to your face and changes dull skin to dazzling skin instantly. It kept my skin, nourished, protected, supple and cared for.

It is no wonder that MÁDARA is a multi award winning company, they go for strength to strength with effortlessly gorgeous products. I for one can not wait to see what else they come up with! It optimises what true beauty is about, its organic and natural.

Aspinal of London Toiletry Case £120

I was lucky enough to be taken away for the night to posh hotel the other day. The hotel itself was magnificent but what also put a smile on my face was my beautiful cosmetics case in purple mock croc and cream suede from Aspinal of London. I have always been a bag type person, cosmetic cases included so when this arrived I actually jumped in the air.

It is beautiful, seductive and also highly usable. It has a really clever lining than you can easily detach if you don't want to use the clever little pockets inside. It was the perfect size to hold everything I needed for a few nights away with room to spare.

I din't want to put it in my bag but proudly display it for all to see. When my sister saw it she even said it was too lovely to use incase I ruined it! You can feel the quality in every part of it and I know that I will be able to treasure it for years to come without it losing its lust factor or deteriorating in anyway. It's available in five other colours but I have just fallen in love with the purple in every way.

My problem is now I want all the things to go with it like the cabin bag, barbarella bag, berkeley bag, purse, belt, wallet.................
